I am a breeder and dealer of Irish Gypsy Cobs all my life and my Father who still is in the breeding and dealing I was sIx years old when I got my first Gypsy horse. There began my love-affair with this gentle, noble animaal. Gypsy Horses have been in our family about eight generations, my Grandfather loved Gypsy horses god rest him he travelled to all the horse fairs in a barell top wagon. I am also a member of the Irish Cob soiety, and I am also a member of the Gypsy Cob Society of America I go to all the Irish horse fairs and shows in Ireland and abroad I love this life it is very interesting and exiteing.
The Gypsy Horse is known by many different names these include: Irish Cob, Gypsy Vanner, Gypsy Cob, Roamany Cob, and Irish Tinker. The most popular color here in Ireland is black and white. Gypsy horses come in many colours brown and white, blue and white, black, brown, grey, chesnut, what is rear to find is blagdon it is known black with four white legs white splahes on the side and underneet the belly and white face, and also Palomino it is very hard to find, every body is lookng for this modle. A good Gypsy Horse will stand 14.2 hands high with a short back, good head, good bone structure with a long flair main and tail and heavy featherd legs. Gypsy horses are very gentle, loyal and easy to handle.They make suiteable pets for adults and children alike. Carrigbyrne Stud is situated in Irelands sunny Southeast on the N25 approximately half an hour from waterford and twenty minutes from Rosslare harbour. The Stud is surrounded by rich forests and rolling, green meadows with a nice lake where the horses like to swim. All my customers who buy a mare at my Farm have the Stallion of there choice free of charge. All our horses live in idyllic surroundings and are hand reared to ensure a gentle temperament to aid easy training.
